Lighthouse
Lighthouse is a unique multidisciplinary maritime competence and research centre initiated by Chalmers, the School of Business, Economics and Law at Göteborg University and The Swedish Shipowners’ Association. The group aims to make shipping more efficient, safer and more environmentally friendly as well as to ensure that Swedish shipping continues to be strongly competitive. Lighthouse brings research into ship construction, maritime safety and hydrodynamics together with logistics, maritime law and business analysis and world trade along with other financial issues. Lighthouse also has a role as a knowledge bridge between research, education and active shipping.
